Nitto Belgium established itself in Genk in 1974 and is the largest production site in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) for the Japanese Nitto Group. With over 500 employees, we develop and produce sealing materials and various industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes for industries including automotive, electronics, furniture, paper production, aviation, and metal processing.
Currently, we are hiring for Nitto Belgium NV.
Our Position
- You will be responsible for the daily operational management of one of the production departments. In this department, tape rolls are produced, processed and packaged. You lead a group of 6 teamleaders in a three-shift system who together manage about 100 operators over three shifts.
- As Supervisor, you will ensure proper operation within the department according to Nitto values, standards and guidelines.
- You coach the production team in leadership and are in close contact with the operators, through open communication you promote employee involvement and team dynamics.
- You ensure good cooperation with supporting departments such as Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Process Engineering, etc.
- You ensure QA/QC and customer standards, address quality issues and implement corrective actions to increase customer satisfaction.
- You analyze and report the achieved results and ensure appropriate actions if needed. In this context, you organize regular departmental meetings and use support techniques such as 5S, Kaizen and FMEA.
- Furthermore, you aim for constant improvement in the areas of safety, quality, turnover and productivity, as well as teamwork in order to achieve departmental objectives.
Your Profile
- You hold a master's degree or equivalent through experience. More than 3 years of experience, including managerial responsibility in a production environment.
- You have good communication skills and are a true people manager.
- Strong analytical skills are present, in addition you have experience in preparing reports and improving inefficient processes.
- Stress-resistance and problem-solving are of great importance. As a result, you are able to resolve bottlenecks quickly and effectively.
- You are customer-oriented.
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English is required.
- Experience with SAP and Office programs is an advantage.
