Being aware of the enormous responsibility we have for our customers, our assets, and the environment, we are analyzing and developing solutions, utilizing advanced data and machine learning technologies to provide the best service, improve the efficiency and make things smarter, better, and cleaner.
What you are responsible for 
You team-up with our data scientists, data engineers, business and infrastructure experts to design and develop data/AI-based solutions that can scale and have global impact within the E.ON corporate.
You stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data science, architecture and engineering.
You evaluate new data technologies to efficiently integrate latest machine learning solutions and analytical modules into operational cloud services.
You increase efficiency and time-to-market by implementing re-usable artificial intelligence models, and data-driven solutions.
You enhance analytics capabilities by extracting information from diverse sets of structured, unstructured, batch and streaming data
You ensure high quality and stability through agile processes and peer code reviews
You share your ideas and can convince to go new ways
What you are good at
You have 3+ years of professional experience in a data scientist or data engineering role.
You have a degree/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
You have hands-on coding experience to ingest and process large and diverse data sets, perform time series and statistical data analysis, develop optimization algorithms, and build supervised and unsupervised models in Python. Fluency in other programming languages is considered as a plus.
You love mathematics and statistics.
You have a passion for science and problem solving by working on data, paired with a strong motivation to deliver valuable solutions for business needs.
You already have knowledge of Machine Learning frameworks like scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Azure ML, etc. (including ML interpretability)
Ideally you have already experience with data transformations in Spark and Databricks.
Ideally you already know how to efficiently implement end-to-end pipelines to ingest data and deploy, monitor and maintain analytical/ML/AI modules in cloud-based environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Working with git and CI/CD flows is preferred by you. Knowledge of Azure DevOps is considered as a plus.
Excellent writing and communication skills, ability adapt your style and explaination matching the audience.
You enjoy collaborating internationally and across cultural borders
Fluent in English; German language skills are seen as a plus.
Extensive knowledge of the energy industry is considered as plus
Experience with Tableau, Power Bi or similar visualization tools is considered as a plus
Background in Consulting is considered as a plus
