Ihre Aufgaben
- The position encompasses research responsibilities and is supported by an education grant from the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education, as well as a research grant from the Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in organizing nationwide networking and educational initiatives in collaboration with Charité Berlin and TU Dresden. These activities aim to engage and connect future bioinformaticians and medical professionals with a focus on eHealth.
- The research project centers on developing predictive and causal machine learning algorithms for sepsis patients. These algorithms will undergo prospective evaluation and integration into a custom-designed, FHIR-based dashboard for clinical application and assessment.
Ihr Profil
- Completed doctoral degree in data science, (bio-)informatics, statistics or a related field
- Advanced statistical modelling in Python or R, such as causal inference or reinforcement learning
- Experience working with FHIR is a plus
- Solid scientific English skills, German is a plus
- Courage to learn, to be open, creative, and pro-active in your research
- Interest in leveraging data science to improve patient outcomes
- Interest in designing and conducting engaging workshops and webinars
